Who we are
OrbitG Games (“OrbitG”, “we”, “us”) is an independent mobile game studio. We are the data controller for the information described in this policy, which covers our games (the “Games”), this website, and any support channels we operate.
Our Games are distributed through app stores such as the Apple App Store and Google Play. Those stores are separate companies with their own privacy policies, and this policy does not cover what they do with your information.
Information we collect
We collect some information directly from you, and we generate other information automatically as you play.
Information you give us
- Account details. If a Game offers an account or profile, we may store a display name, avatar choice, and — where you choose to provide one — an email address.
- Support and correspondence. If you email us about a bug, a purchase, or a privacy request, we keep your message, your contact details, and our reply so we can help you and keep a record of what was resolved.
- Surveys and feedback. If you take part in an optional survey, beta test, or feedback form, we keep the answers you give.
Information we collect automatically
- Gameplay data. Levels reached, scores, progress, in-game currency balances, settings, and the choices you make while playing.
- Device data. Device model, operating system and version, screen resolution, language, country, time zone, mobile network, and crash and performance diagnostics.
- Identifiers. A random app-generated ID for your installation, and — where you have not opted out — the advertising identifier provided by your device (Apple's IDFA or Google's Advertising ID).
- Usage data. When you open and close a Game, how long sessions last, which features you use, which ads you were shown, and which of our messages you interacted with.
- Purchase confirmations. A record that a purchase happened, what was bought, and a receipt token used to validate it. We never receive or store your card number — payments are handled entirely by Apple or Google.
- Website data. If you visit this website, our host records standard server logs including IP address, browser type, and pages requested.
Information from other companies
Our advertising and analytics partners may tell us how a player first found a Game — for example, which ad campaign an install came from — so we can understand which of our own marketing works. App stores tell us aggregate sales and refund information.
How we use information
- To run the Games, save your progress, and sync your saves.
- To fix crashes, diagnose bugs, and improve performance on the devices people actually use.
- To balance difficulty and design new content, based on how players move through existing content.
- To provide leaderboards, events, and other features you choose to take part in.
- To process and validate purchases, and to handle refunds and restore-purchase requests.
- To show ads in our free Games, and to measure whether our own marketing is working.
- To answer support requests and communicate with you about the Games.
- To detect cheating, abuse, and fraud, and to keep the Games secure.
- To meet legal, tax, accounting, and regulatory obligations.
Legal bases for using your information
If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, we rely on the following legal bases:
- Contract — to deliver the Game you asked to play, save your progress, and handle purchases.
- Legitimate interests — to keep the Games working and secure, understand how they are played in aggregate, prevent fraud, and run our business. We balance these interests against your rights.
- Consent — for personalised advertising and any optional tracking. You can withdraw consent at any time in your device settings or the privacy screen inside the Game.
- Legal obligation — where we are required to keep records or respond to lawful requests.
Who we share information with
We do not sell your personal information for money. We share it only with the categories of companies below, and only as far as they need it to do their job for us:
- Hosting and cloud — providers that store save data and run our backend services.
- Analytics — providers that help us measure crashes, retention, and how features are used.
- Advertising — ad networks and mediation partners that deliver and measure ads in our free Games.
- Payments — Apple and Google, who process every purchase made in our Games.
- Support tooling — the helpdesk and email systems we use to reply to you.
- Professional advisers and authorities — lawyers, accountants, regulators, or law enforcement, where we are legally required to disclose information or need to protect our rights or someone's safety.
- A buyer or successor — if our business or a Game is sold or reorganised, information may transfer as part of that deal, subject to this policy.
Some advertising arrangements may count as a “sale” or “sharing” of personal information under certain state laws. See Regional disclosures for how to opt out.
Advertising and analytics
Our free Games are paid for by advertising. Ad partners may use your advertising identifier and general information about your device and country to decide which ad to show and to measure whether it worked.
You can limit this at any time:
- On iOS — decline the App Tracking Transparency prompt, or turn off Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking → Allow Apps to Request to Track.
- On Android — use Settings → Privacy → Ads to delete or opt out of your advertising ID.
- In our Games — open the privacy or consent option in the settings screen to review or withdraw your advertising consent.
Turning off personalised ads does not remove ads. It means the ads you see will be less relevant to you.
Children and age limits
Our Games are not directed at children under 13 (or the higher age set by the law where you live), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. Where a Game is rated for a general audience, we still expect a parent or guardian to approve any account creation or purchase.
If you believe a child has given us personal information, email us at privacy@orbitggames.com and we will delete it promptly.
How long we keep information
We keep information for as long as you use the Game it relates to, and then for up to three years after your last interaction, unless we are required to keep it longer — purchase and tax records, for example, are usually kept for six to seven years.
Crash and diagnostic logs are kept for a much shorter period, typically under 90 days. Once information is no longer needed, we delete it or irreversibly anonymise it so it can no longer be linked to you.
How we protect information
We use encryption in transit, access controls, and reputable infrastructure providers, and we limit access to the small number of people who need it. No method of transmitting or storing information over the internet is completely secure, so we cannot promise absolute security — but we do take it seriously, and we will notify you and the relevant regulator where the law requires it after a breach.
International transfers
We and our service providers operate in several countries, so your information may be processed outside the country you live in, including in the United States. Where we transfer information out of the EEA, the UK, or Switzerland, we rely on safeguards such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses, the UK Addendum, or an adequacy decision covering the destination country.
Your rights and choices
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to ask us to:
- confirm what personal information we hold about you;
- give you a copy of it, or send it to another service;
- correct information that is wrong or incomplete;
- delete information we no longer need to keep;
- restrict or object to certain uses, including profiling for advertising;
- withdraw a consent you previously gave; and
- opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information for targeted advertising.
To make a request, email privacy@orbitggames.com. Tell us which Game you play and, if you can, the player or device ID shown in that Game's settings screen — without it we may not be able to find your data. We will respond within the time limit set by the law that applies to you, and we will not treat you differently for exercising a right.
Regional disclosures
European Economic Area, United Kingdom, and Switzerland
You have the rights listed above, and you may lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority — for example the UK Information Commissioner's Office or your national data protection authority. We would appreciate the chance to address your concern first.
California
We collect the categories of personal information described in Information we collect: identifiers, commercial information, internet and device activity, approximate location derived from IP address, and inferences drawn from gameplay. We use them for the purposes in How we use information and disclose them to the categories of recipients in Who we share information with.
We do not sell personal information for money, but our use of advertising identifiers for targeted advertising may be treated as a “sale” or “sharing” under the CCPA as amended. To opt out, decline tracking on your device or use the privacy option in the Game's settings. We do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of anyone under 16. You may also designate an authorised agent to make a request on your behalf.
Brazil
Under the LGPD you may confirm whether we process your data, access it, correct it, request anonymisation or deletion, ask about who we share it with, and withdraw consent. Contact us at privacy@orbitggames.com and we will handle your request under Brazilian law.
Other regions
If your local law gives you privacy rights not listed here, write to us and we will honour them where they apply.
Changes to this policy
We update this policy when our Games or our practices change. The current version always lives on this page, with the date it was last updated at the top. If a change materially affects how we use your information, we will tell you inside the Game or by email before it takes effect, and ask for fresh consent where the law requires it.
How to contact us
For anything in this policy — questions, requests, or complaints — email privacy@orbitggames.com. For help with a Game, bug, or purchase, email support@orbitggames.com instead and you will reach us faster.
